Connor Donahue wins Hartwell Biomedical Research Postdoctoral Fellowship

Congratulations to Dr. Connor Donahue, a postdoctoral fellow in the DeLisa research group in CBE, who has been awarded a 2024 Hartwell Biomedical Research Postdoctoral Fellowship. The Hartwell Foundation provides funding for postdoctoral training in biomedical science at select, qualifying research institutions in the United States. The Fellowship supports individuals who have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate, are still in the initial stages of research career development, and who exemplify the values of the Foundation, namely benefits to children in the United States. Matt DeLisa wins Charles Thom Award

The Charles Thom Award is given to individuals who have made outstanding research contributions in industrial microbiology and/or biotechnology. Study maps human uptake of microplastics across 109 countries

Southeast Asian countries top the global per capita list of dietary uptakes of microplastics, while China, Mongolia and the United Kingdom top the list of countries that breathe the most microplastics, according to a new study mapping microplastic uptake across 109 countries. Read more
