Prof. Fengqi You, Roxanne E. and Michael J. Zak Professor in the Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, has been selected to receive the 2017 Sustainable Engineering Research Award of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
This award, formerly named “AIChE Research Excellence in Sustainable Engineering Award”, is presented annually to recognize an individual with significant contributions to research activities on sustainability, and it is the most prestigious award given by AIChE honoring sustainability research. AIChE is the world’s premier professional organization for chemical engineers, with over 50,000 members globally. Prof. You was recognized for “fundamental contributions to sustainability analysis and optimization methods, as well as applications to advanced materials, process manufacturing and energy systems.” The award will be presented at the AIChE Annual Meeting to be held in November 2017 in Minneapolis, MN.
